Obituary of Jay M. Coulombe

Jay M. Coulombe, 61, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept 19, 2018, at CVPH Medical Center with loved ones by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on May 18, 1957, the son of Lester "Duke" and Shirley (Higgins) Coulombe.

He worked for the Press Republican over the last 15 year. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan, enjoyed camping and loved cruising around in his BMW.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years Linda (Covel) Coulombe of Plattsburgh, his mother, Shirley Coulombe of Champlain, his children, Heather Coulombe of Plattsburgh and Mandy (Matthew) Barnaby of Dannemora, his stepchildren, Billy and Amy Stowell of Vermont, his brother, James Coulombe of Mooers, his sister, Cheryl Favreau of Rouses Point, his niece, Amy (Matthew) Gonyo, his nephew Eric Coulombe, a very special niece, Ashley Coulombe and companion Brent Young,  grandchildren Lindsey, Nicholas, and Kathryn Barnaby, his best friend, Eugene, 3 sisters in law, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held September 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the VFW, 600 St. John’s Road, Champlain, NY 12919. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the family in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements are in the care of M. B. Clark Funeral Home in Champlain.
