Lucille Marie Sheehan

October 14, 1920-March 8, 2019

 

Lucille was born to Paul Boynton and Jenny McFarland Boynton, at their home in Jay, NY. Lucille resided on the farm where she was born, for the next 97 years of her life. She married her husband of 63 years, Irving Sheehan, in 1943. In her early years, Lucille worked at The Lake Placid Club, as well as Santa's Workshop. Later in life, she was a Liberian at The Ausable Forks Library. Her true passion was to take care of her loved ones, and the family homestead. Lucille was a lifetime member of The Jay Baptist Church, where she rarely missed a church service. She will be greatly missed by her church family. She was a member of the Keene Valley Garden Club, and enjoyed gardening at home. Lucille was an avid bridge player for all 98 years of her life, and played to win! A special thanks to all her bridge friends. Lucille is survived by her son, Kevin Sheehan, his wife Patti, and grandchildren, Ashley, Trista, and Trever, as well as great grandson, Devonte. Lucille is also survived by her sister, Martha Theodorowicz, of Agawam MA, and her children Paula, Dave, Peter, and Jennie. A memorial service will be held at The Jay Baptist ChurchNYS Route 9N, Jay, NY on March 30th at 12:00 Noon.  A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family . A special thanks to all that cared for her on her final days on earth. Lucille will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. May god give her eternal rest and peace. The M. B.
