Gram, first I want to thank you for giving me the best gift a daughter could have- my mom. She is my rock and she has taught me great morals which stemmed from you. I'm sad that you're gone, but I'm happy that you're not suffering anymore. The last words you said to me were "Take care of yourself and those boys- I love you". I will ALWAYS keep that promise to you and I will always hold you close to my heart as my guardian angel. I did a speech today in class and I was scared but I think you gave me the courage to stand up in front of that class and be proud of who I am as a woman and a mother. I ended up getting an A. I hope you're flying high above the oceans like you always wanted to see. Enjoy your freedom, grandma. I love you, always.

Aunt Shirley, you were more like a second mother to me than an Aunt. I will forever cherish all of the memories we created on Smith Street. I loved every minute I spent with you growing up. Heather is so much like you, being around her means I will never forget you!
