William Joseph Thompson Lake placid NY September 22, 1973- December 26, 2021 William Joseph Thompson, age 48, of River Street, Lake Placid, NY passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 at his home in Lake Placid. William was born September 22, 1973 in Saranac Lake, NY the son of the late Robert Thompson and the late Harriet E. Miller. He attended SUNY Brockport and NCCC. He worked for the Village of Lake Placid Highway Dept., William worked as a Personal trainer at Lake Placid Health and Fitness Center in Lake Placid, NY, and at Uptown Fitness in Canandaigua NY. He loved working out, taking walks in Henry's Woods and John Brown Farm with his son Tiernan. He is survived by his son, who meant the world to him, Tiernan Robert Rushlaw Thompson of Saranac Lake, NY; two sisters, Bernadette Hanrahan, and Bella Doolittle; 5 brothers, Paul Gallo, Steven Gallo, Fredrick Gallo, Nicholas Gallo, and Anthony Gallo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs Snookie and Princess. Calling hours will be held Wednesday the January 5, 2022 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the M. B.
